Since 2013, the scholarship has been awarded by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee through the Per Gannevik Foundation for Cultural Purposes. In 2024 and 2025, Skogen developed the overall art direction and visual expression for the scholarship in close collaboration with the Swedish Arts Grants Committee and the Gannevik Foundation. The assignment included graphic design, motion, print, digital applications and spatial design for the award ceremonies at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. The visual concept is grounded in the artistic process and the physical sensations of creating and experiencing art. The design language moves between the diffuse, the glowing and the solid, shifting between blurred and sharp, fluid and fixed forms. Across print and motion, abstract shapes exist in multiple states and formations. In the animated sequences, they drift through a fictional creative universe and orbit a central planet, G, before each artist is individually introduced and celebrated. +0000 Skogen.design https://www.skogen.design/Skredet SkredetBook design, custom typography, logo When a section of the E6 motorway near Stenungsund was dramatically swept away in a landslide in the autumn of 2023, it triggered not only a geological shift but also a cascade of personal, social, and infrastructural movements. Some came to a sudden halt, others took unexpected turns, and entirely new directions emerged. Skredet is an artistic response to this event. The project began in the summer of 2024 and was first presented as an exhibition at Stationen in the spring of 2025. It now lives on in the form o this book, as both a document and a continuation of the work. The publication brings together poetry, conversations, photography, historical material, and fragments of research. The art direction and design reflects the core themes of rupture, displacement, and transformation. A custom typeface and logotype were created specifically for the project. The torn front cover and chapter pages reference the physical violence and unpredictable forms caused by the landslide. Printed in a limited edition of 300 copies. Om Flickläroverket i Artisten. Why are there no rituals when a building is demolished? What does women's memory mean in a city like Gothenburg? These and similar questions were raised when Flickläroverket i Artisten was demolished in 2023 to make way for The Artistic Faculty's new building at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg. The anthology “En båge genom tiden” (An Arc Through Time) is the result of a research project at the University of Gothenburg, and was produced on behalf of and in close collaboration with Monica Sand, artist and researcher, at the Faculty of Arts, University of Gothenburg. Public commemoration days were held where creative rituals, dance, exhibitions and conversations gave life to an educational culture and art that has touched society for generations. In the book, some 20 artists and researchers contribute new perspectives on the poetic, social and multi-sensory dimensions of the building, which together form a contemporary document in which art functions as a bearer of memory across time and space. We interpreted this rich and varied material in art direction and design and compiled it onto 240 pages. The architecture influenced the color palette and design elements, and the playful, swinging typography draws inspiration from the artistic activities conducted in the building, centered around dance and movement. The book is bound in a flexi-cover with foil block and partial varnish. It is a platform and a lab for a multidisciplinary artistic exploration of relationships and coexistence between all living things from a posthumanist perspective. Through unconventional methods and approaches, we want to give individual artists, creatives and researchers time and space for development and renewal within a wide range of artistic practices. The platform can be seen as a miniature of the world, where the small local site can act as a prototype for a larger planetary context. The human relationship with all other living things is broken, and AiC becomes a test bed for how us humans, with art as a tool, can step down from our pedestal to re-establish a sustainable coexistence.The physical platform is currently being built up at the island of Orust, Sweden. The residence program will be introduced and started during 2023. The region has a rich industrial and cultural heritage, and in the post mining era new stories about Bergslagen are being formed and told. The industrial environments are filled with new people and activities. The old mine has become a chocolate factory, the iron ore dike a cycle path and the engine room an art gallery. Emphasizing this vibrant change has been the core of our long-standing partnership. Focusing on that energy, joining the changemakers and amplifying their brilliant ideas. This is Bergslagen. We started out by reworking the visual identity and brand strategy in 2014, and have since then delivered film and photo art direction, print and digital campaigns, magazine redesigns, guide books from creative concept to final art, etc. Shown here is a selection of works from the years 2014–2022. Sweden, already had a cult following before we met. The brief was to take things to the next level by pinpointing the purpose and gather the design direction from the initial years into a refined visual identity, guidelines, web design and development. The visual identity is shaped from the curious and exploratory approach that lies in Ställbergs Gruva’s methodology, models and processes. The approach is described in the identity as »In synergy, new perspectives are opened up for man, matter, nature and art«. The visual identity deals with both the history connected to the physical location and the movement into a sustainable future reflecting the anthrophocene.
